Customer

When a transportation booking is requested, the requester can be referred to as a “customer”. This term refers to an organization, business or individual that is initiating a request for transportation services from a transport provider. The transport provider is also commonly known as the transporter. Therefore, in order for a transport booking to take place, it is necessary for the customer to contact the transporter and request their services. The transporter will then respond with a quotation or confirmation of the transportation service, which the customer can agree to or negotiate further. Hence, the customer plays a critical role in the transportation process as the initiator of the booking, and the transporter plays the equally important role of providing the necessary transportation services to meet the customer’s needs.
